Working with Ghostiie turns a quiet moment into a whole atmosphere. It's not just about being faded — it’s about being free enough to feel. Everything centered around feel. We weren’t chasing cleanliness — we were preserving a moment.
RECORDING ENGINEER
We chose a warm tube mic and ran it through analog preamps to retain texture. The mic picked up everything — the breaths, the pauses, even the sound of his hoodie brushing as he shifted in the chair. That was part of the record.
MIXING ENGINEER
The mix was underwater but intentional. Vocals were placed gently in the beat, with soft saturation and delay drifting like smoke. Nothing was rushed. The track floats — and the mix helped it stay there.
VOCAL EDITING
Edits were almost non-existent. The track wasn’t meant to be tight. It was meant to wander. Slight pitch variances were left untouched — it sounded more human that way.
VOCAL DIRECTION
Direction came in quiet notes between takes. We encouraged more space, less structure. Letting him go off-tempo if it felt right. The magic was in the looseness — and we protected that.
