Kay Bleed

Kay Bleed delivers vulnerability in designer packaging. Between the echoes and sub-bass, this isnt just a track its an internal voicemail dressed in perfect lighting.

WHAT WE DID

WHAT WE DID

WHAT WE DID

Working with Kay Bleed on Heart Bulletproof meant respecting the silence as much as the sound. We built an atmosphere where emotion led the engineering. From room tone to vocal phrasing, every decision aimed to preserve the intimacy.

RECORDING ENGINEER

A custom vocal chain was used to soften the top end and capture the breathy, late-night tone. The mic was angled slightly off-axis to reduce plosives and give the vocal a rounded warmth.

MIXING ENGINEER

We mixed for depth, not width. The vocal was centered, surrounded by soft pads and muted synths. Reverb tails were tuned to feel like distance — not just FX, but emotional context.

VOCAL EDITING

Each vocal take was carefully comped — not for perfection, but for feel. Small timing imperfections were left intact when they served the story. No tune, just truth.

VOCAL DIRECTION

Direction focused on restraint. Less power, more ache. We guided Kay Bleed to hold back just enough — so when he says “gimme a hug,” it hits like a plea, not a punchline.

SESSION MANAGEMENT

We cleared the schedule and dimmed the lights — literally. The room was designed for solitude, letting Kay Bleed sit with the beat until the right emotion arrived. It wasn’t about speed. It was about space.
